~*June Offerings*~

Greetings!
Happy June! It is one of my favorite months of the year here on Winding Vine.
The strawberry patch is going gangbusters! The first day of picking yielded 2 ¼ pounds of ripe sweet berries and my antique bin has yielded a bumper crop of antique textile berries too!

My first offering this month is for Antique Textile Strawberry Make Do’s. These berries are made of either antique coverlet or antique paisley and have caps from an old army blanket. The seeds are pins ~ ready to be used. These Make Do’s measure approximately 9 inches tall. As with all my offerings, they are completely handsewn and no glue is used, so the antique spindles and receipt holders are completely intact.
Antique Textile Strawberry Make Do’s are offered at $30 each.

Please specify when ordering:
·         Antique Paisley on receipt holder - Sold
·         Antique Coverlet on receipt holder
·         Antique Paisley on wood spindle - Sale Pending
·         Antique Coverlet on wood spindle

My next strawberry themed offering is truly one-of a kind.
It is made the same as the larger Make Do’s, but on a much smaller scale.
The base is a tiny child’s candle stick. Nothing is glued, so the candlestick is completely intact inside. This Make Do measures approximately 4 inches tall.

This offering continues the theme with Antique Quilt Square Strawberries. I found these quilt squares just last month and thought they would make great strawberries. Their caps are made from an old army blanket with seeds of tiny old mother of pearl buttons. There is one large mother of pearl button attached to the cap. A ribbon could easily be wrapped around the button for hanging These Antique Quilt Square Strawberries measure approximately 2 inches across by 4.5 inches long.

My final strawberry offering started with the sweetest tiny felt baby shoe embroidered with tiny little flowers. The perfect holder for a little strawberry made of an old quilt to be tucked safely inside. The light green wool cap and the aged quilt match the embroidery perfectly. The strawberry is merely resting in the shoe and can be removed. The Baby Shoe Strawberry measures approximately 4.5 inches long by 3.5 inches tall.
