Daffodils in an Old Granite Pan

"Daffies in an Old Granite Pan"
design by Maggie Bonanomi

This was a newly purchased bonus project for March and I enjoyed creating it ever so much!
The design was so lovely and simple that I felt that I could add a cotton print binding without overwhelming or detracting from the design.

On a bright sunny day, it is hard to find the right light for photos.

Hopefully this will give you the idea.

I used my Nikki's Notables notions bag while working on this project.
It was the perfect size for my thread, scissors, ruler and a few other things.

Many of you asked about my staples for prepping this project.
Staples are my favorite for holding wool in place. No more getting pricked from pins.
I spoke more about using staples in this post here.
I did get a long arm stapler that Christmas and have been using it ever since :)

I also completed a new bonus cross stitch project for March and will share that soon.

I rely on God who is my deliverance and my glory;
    he is my strong rock,
        and my refuge is in God.
People, in every situation put your trust in God;
    pour out your heart before him;
        for God is a refuge for us.
~Psalm 62:7-8

Blessings, Patti

This looks fabulous. I think the binding adds the perfect touch to your finish. Your 'tool' pouch is lovely and functional. I was wondering if it was one of hers. Enjoy your day!

Dang....but you’re a quick stitch!! Puts me all to shame. And despite your quickness, your stitches and finishes are always absolute perfection, That wool is sumptuous. Love your little project pouch too. I guess I always look at her shop at the wrong times because it’s always next-to-empty whenever I look. Going to keep trying though! ~Robin~
