Wheaten Woolens 2019 ~ Part 3

Well you  know that some shopping had to occur on our trip ;)
And Wheaten Woolens is the place to do it!

The second I saw this kit, it was in my hands lol.
I have been contemplating this pattern for quite some time, but to have it kitted up and ready to go -
 I was all in :)

I feel in love with this pattern too, so in my basket it went.

Have you ever tried these freezer paper sheets?
They are wonderful! Simply put them in the copier and copy your pattern right on to it. No more spending lots of time tracing patterns. I only had a few sheets left at home, so I have been contemplating whether patterns are worthy of the sheet lol!
Now that I am restocked, all patterns are worthy!

I saw my next purchase at Wheaten Woolens on our last visit.
I've thought about it ever since and knew that if she had any left, one would be going home with me.
She did have them in stock!

It's an apron made out of antique feed sack!
Isn't it great?!

Here is a close up of the fabric.
It was hard to choose one as they are each one of a kind. Some had the Bemis logo on the apron, but this one spoke to me. I thought it would be great in the garden with those great big pockets!
And for baking too. It is intended for rug hookers.
I know it could be used while cleaning, but I rather not think about that ;)

Wheaten Woolens also had a lovely selection of hand-dyed trims.
You know that I love my rick rack.

This fringe trim really intrigued me as well.
Hmmm, I'll have to find a little project to try it out on.

Wheaten Woolens has a fabulous selection of necklaces and scissor fobs by Me and My Stitches.
Mom bought me the lovely necklace on the right. Thanks Mom!
And I splurged on the tree necklace - it reminds me of the Northwoods...

Since we made it to The Little Red Hen, we did some shopping there as well.
We only had 40 minutes until closing, so we had to work fast!

I picked up these great fat quarters of patriotic fabrics by Diamond Textiles.

And I found these sweet fabrics in the Christmas room.

Mom and I picked up some flannels - one of these will back our Maggie class project.

I even found these tiny antique quilt squares.

I  so enjoyed the bunny kit that my BFF, Kim, brought me back from this shop,
that I decided to get another.
This cardinal called my name.

I've been contemplating this cross stitch pattern for some time and decided today was the day to buy it. The ticking that I found here will be perfect for finishing it!

(oops! It's upside down!)

And this magnetic pin bowl by Lori Holt Farm Girl Vintage was too cute to pass up!

It was a fabulous trip with Mom and we both enjoyed our time thoroughly!
Good thing we have another trip together in August to look forward to!

Let all the earth fear the Lord;
let all the people of the world revere him.

   For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.
~Psalm 33:8-9

Blessings, Patti

I bought a Bemis feedsack a while ago to make a tote bag. My husband's grandparents were named Bemiss, and I just couldn't resist!

The darling magnetic bowl caught my eye. Husband just ordered one since it will be so handy to use and Lori Holt is a fav fabric designer. Get so many useful tips on products from your blog. Thank you from someone who doesn’t get out to shop, by choice.
