Merry Christmas 2017!

This is my absolute favorite Christmas decoration this year!
My dear sister-in-law Joy has undergone six rounds of chemo, surgery, and now is undergoing six more rounds of chemo. And still she finds time to create ~ to relax, focus on the positive and heal.
She did a gorgeous job on this holly hanging and I adore it!
*Please keep her in your prayers.*

I found time this past week to stop at P.O.S.H. for a bit of inspiration.

Christmas magic

A bit of quiet at this hectic time.

This past week I took Mom to see this home in our town.

An amazing display with lights coordinated to music,
including a salute to our veterans.

They do this as a fundraiser and this year they are nearing a $100,000 contribution to pediatric cancer in honor of a young neighbor battling brain cancer.
(please ignore the veteran's forget me not hanging from my rear view mirror ;) oops! )

I also had to share this car that we saw as my husband picked me up at the train station this week!

I had never seen anything like this before!

This Christmas will be different for us as our oldest son is in Japan.
But we are happy to know that he is enjoying the trip of a lifetime.
We are lucky to be in contact with him daily and enjoying each picture that he sends.
We will celebrate Christmas with him next month when he returns and get to hear all about his adventures!

Wishing each and everyone of you a Very Merry Christmas filled with love near and far!

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
~Luke 2:8-11

Blessings, Patti

What a wonderful post, Patti. Praying for Joy’s healing—what a beautiful decoration. I’m so glad your son is able to visit Japan. We were stationed there near Tokyo for three years, and there are so many things I miss. I wish you and yours a very blessed Christmas.

Merry, merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. Prayers and hugs for your dear s-i-l. The holly decoration is beautiful.
What a wonderful way to raise funds for cancer research. It must be quite a sight to see.
Lucky son of yours to experience Japan.
Hugs :)

Great decorations, and that house is amazing.
I never saw a car decorated either! Some put wreaths on their grill, but that's about it.
What fun for your son, have fun when he comes homes.
Prayers for Joy.
