Easter Finishes

"Stoneware Bunny"
design and kit by Priscilla's Pocket

Over the Easter holiday weekend I did manage to complete a few  FFO's (fully finished objects)

I love how it looks with my stoneware.

This cabinet greets me as I walk down the hallway towards our kitchen.

I did the same finish for their Winter Wonderland Farm design in January
and now I want to change it out for all of the seasons.

I'll continue to enjoy this one until the next one is finished. :)

I channeled my inner Priscilla for this finish and am so happy with it.
I found the wooden rabbit plaque at JoAnn's.

A little bit of grey lace seemed to set it off.

I am still hopeful that I can fully finish another project or two before the end of the month,
but we will see.

My sister hosted Easter this year and I had to share the newest addition - my nephew and his girlfriend's cat, Jack. He is a super social cat - very friendly, but I think that we all wore him out. :)

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,”
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

I have been stitching away on Easter/Spring projects.

Some have stitched up quite quickly.

With tax time and all, I have not had time to fully finish any.

I am hoping to find some time to fully finish some this holiday weekend.

In the meantime, I keep stitching on my daily commute...

I just had to share my new shirt by Elly and Grace!
I love it and it's so comfy too.
I get lots of compliments when I wear it :)

It was already about noon, and the whole land became dark
until three in the afternoon because the sun had stopped shining,
and the curtain in the sanctuary was torn in two.
Then Jesus cried out with a loud voice and said,
“Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit.” After he said this, he breathed his last.

Stitch from my Stash Projects ~ April

I'm still working on a few March bonus projects, but I have selected my
April Stitch from My Stash Projects.

First up is:
Crispin Sewing Box
by Stacy Nash

This was a class at the 2018 From Our Hands Creative Retreat.
I didn't take the class as I had a conflict, but was able to purchase the kit at the Mercantile.

"Stoneware Bunny"
by Priscilla's Pocket
was released and purchased in the Spring of 2017!
Yep, after two years, I am finally going to stitch and finish it.

I am hoping that these two projects will be quick as I have recently bought several new Easter/Spring cross stitch charts that I am really itching to stitch! But I must Stitch from my Stash first!

And there is a new wool project to start as well:

"Rabbit & Hen Wall Quilt"
by Carried Away Designs in Wool

I started this last year - you can read about it here.
And purchased I purchased it back in 2016 - here.
I would so love to finish it, but I am a little daunted by all the embroidery stitches that need to be done...
Well, if I don't complete it this month, I can at least make some progress...

Well, now is the time that you have been waiting for!
Thanks so much to the 37 people that entered my little giveaway.
It was so fun to read all of the comments. You all had very logical ideas of the color that I have 10 skeins of - Carriage Black, Black Crow, Harvest Basket, Dried Thyme, Oatmeal - all common colors that I would have guessed as well. What was the color that I have 10 skeins of???
Mulberry!
Don't ask me how that happened - I really have no idea LOL!
Since no one guessed the color, I used random.org to select a random winner.
The winner is #23 - Simple Pleasure!
Patricia, please send your mailing address to me at pgagliardi9@hotmail.com and I will get your skein of Mulberry and a few other treasures on their way to you.

The other question was how many skeins I have of Gentle Arts Sampler Threads in my box.
The guesses ranged from 65 to 262.
I don't really want to divulge how many I have as the number is much larger than any of the guesses...
If you promise not to tell my husband , I'll share - 357 skeins! Oh my!
kcmrugs - you won closest to the number with 262. Please send your mailing address to me at pgagliardi9@hotmail.com and I will get your skein of Mulberry and a few other treasures on their way to you.

Please respond in the next week so that I can get these sent out to you both.

Mom was here over the weekend. She was kind enough to help me organize my Weeks Dye Works.
I have less of those so it wasn't quite as big of a job ;)
I've also started collecting Classic Colorworks and will keep these organized from the start lol.

Thanks again for joining in my giveaway - I'll have another one again soon.

Truly my soul finds rest in God;
    my salvation comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

Market night ~ Spring 2016!

A week or so ago it was Market Night at my not quite local needlework store - Inspired Needle Ltd.
As much as I enjoy looking at photos online - things are always better when viewed in person.

So many beautiful creations, tugging me here and there.
(And a few things that I didn't buy are still calling my name...)

Seeing completed models is always inspiring!

This grouping caught my eye time and again.

I really want to  stitch up some Stoneware Pinpillows by Priscilla's Pocket - I've been collecting the patterns.

These are the treasures that I purchased at Market Night.
And since I like to pass around the love...

I purchased Stacy Nash's Limited Edition Tray kit from Country Sampler.

I better get busy stitching!!!

"The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,
“Hosanna!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Blessed is the king of Israel!”
~John 12:12-13
