Thankful & a Winner

This blog is my happy place. I try not to share anything here that isn't happy.
Last week I was having a rough week. Your kind and thoughtful comments and emails were a healing balm. I am thankful for those of you out there that actually take the time to follow my blog.
Your comments mean so much to me.

I thought that I would share some final images of the Spring Green area while recapping some of the things that you are thankful for.

God's blessings, love and faith

Family (especially husband and grandchildren) and friends

the internet and blogs

hobbies and brick and mortar needlework shops

crafts, creating, inspiration

health

peace and freedom

Every new day, simple joys and small miracles.
Amen!

Thank you so much to the 59 entries in my little giveaway.
The winner is...
#18 Linda Donzello of Arizona
Congratulations Linda! Your little package will be on its way shortly.

I almost forgot!
I wanted to share a little tip picked up at B&B...
Staples! They work great on wool.

Oops - sideways.

No pricking your fingers - great for traveling.
And when you are done, bend the fabric and they pop right out.
Just had to share :)

"For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,"

Congratulations to Linda! Inspiring post, we all have our bad days, but it is good to remember all of the wonderful blessings, we do have, in our life.

I use staples when doing my wool applique, even if I have fused them down. It sure beats using pins. Your fall pictures were wonderful

I am so thankful to have won the giveaway! I truly appreciate your generosity. These autumn photos are gorgeous. Happy you had such a good time at B&B with the Bittersweet Sisters.

I had forgotten about being able to use staples to hold the wool shapes in place.

Might be a dumb question, but how do you get the staples up in the middle of the piece? My stapler won't reach that far. Just fold up the fabric?? Not too bulky?
