A Stacy Nash Stitch Camp Finish!

I am so happy to share that I finished this Stacy Nash Stitch Camp project!
I am so happy with it and will treasure this needlebook and velvet pinkeep/fob
and the memories that they hold.

Here is the original.
It was so sweet as is, but I put a little spin on it.

I decided that I wanted another motif instead of the dog on the left, so I started going through my other Stacy patterns. I tried a bee skep with bees and a rooster, but wasn't quite happy.
I came across the little goat from Stacy's "Old White Farmhouse" pattern and knew that was it.

I'm also not big on adding old years. I think it comes from seeing an occasional new creation at an antique show being passed as an antique. So I decided instead to stitch "Grace". This could be the young lady's name, but for me it is a reminder of God's grace ~ love and mercy from God that we don't deserve.

I added a few other little extras as well...
A little velvet berry to match the fobs.
A little patch on the spine to match the wool inside.

A little wool heart on the back.
And on the inside...

A patch of antique French ticking to note where and when this was created.

A peach velvet pinkeep and a wool heart scissor pouch.

Now I am really motivated to finish my Stitch Camp Sewing Tray!
Thanks for letting me share...

This is what the Lord says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.
~Isaiah 48:17

Blessings, Patti

I totally love your "Grace" needlebook. Your renditions are always so great! I so agree about the date thing- I avoid it for the same reasons. Love it.

Fabulous finish! I may have to "borrow" some of your ideas if I ever get around to finishing mine!
