September Offerings

It feels good to be back in my regular routine! Although it has been hot and humid here on Winding Vine, every once in a while the morning is a bit cooler and a tinge of autumn can be felt in the air… I’ve noticed that the squirrels and skunks have been much more active and I know that they can feel it too. My offerings this month are inspired by the squirrels favorite treat this time of year ~ acorns.

My first offering this month is based on a wonderful design by Notforgotten Farm ~ “Acorn Harvest”. This sweet acorn measures approximately 6 by 3.5 inches. It is backed with the same fabric as the acorn top and features a hand-dyed wool oak leaf. It has been gently aged and is a sweet bowl filler.
~*Sold. Thank you ever so much!*~

Acorn and Crow is a design by Buttermilk Basin featuring wonderful wools and a glass bead eye for the crow. It measures approximately 5 by 7 inches and is backed with the same cotton print as frames the front.

Next is “Gathering Acorns Windowsill Pillow”. I love this sweet design by Tina Woltman! It features a wee wool acorn and hand-dyed wool leaf and is backed with the same fabric that appears on the left side. This pillow measures approximately 4 by 11 inches and would lovely on a windowsill or propped on a bookcase or cupboard. It has been gently aged.

I have also included photos of some offerings that I created late last autumn.
I will be listing them on Etsy later this week. “Vintage Pumpkin Pillows” feature all vintage materials and measure 5 by 6 inches. They are stuffed with vintage cotton batting. This Winding Vine Designs Original is offered in four different backgrounds Antique Coverlet, Antique Tweed Wool, Antique French Ticking, and Hand Dyed Autumn Leaves Wool. Vintage Pumpkin Pillows are offered at $19 each plus shipping.

Give Ye Thanks Pillow is based on a sweet design by Lori Brechlin of Notforgotten Farm. This cross-stitched piece features hand-dyed linen and floss that has been gently aged. It is accented with a coordinating primitive plaid flannel and is backed with the same fabric. As with all of my creations, it is completely hand stitched. It measures approximately 3 inches tall by 9 inches long and is accented with an antique skeleton key. Give Ye Thanks is stuffed with vintage cotton batting. Perfect sitting on a windowsill or tucked in a cupboard.
~*Sold. Thank you ever so much!*~
