The final part of the Bittersweet Stitching Sisters annual trip!
Be sure to read through to the end, it will be worth it ;)
I bought several kits at Country Sampler - two cross stitch and the fabric kit for the star that I shared on an earlier post.
At JJ Stitches, I bought these two patterns along with the kit for "So Beholden".
I'm thinking of doing a mash-up of both patterns...
At JJ Stitches, I also bought these three wools - thought they would make great evergreen trees
and this pattern that I haven't seen before.
At Lynn's, I increased my Hands On Design stash with a few patterns.
And a sweet kit (Autumn Skies) that is currently exclusive to Lynn's of Madison.
And Plum Street Samplers' "Scary Two" is all kitted and ready to go!
I forgot to share this sweet gift from Carla!
She is a lace maker and actually made lace for each of us!
Isn't the entire display lovely with the antique buttons and bobbins?!
She also created some wonderful daily kits for us!
I'll share once I make some progress on them!
Finally what you have been waiting for:
A little giveaway!
I'm sharing some of the wool that I purchased.
In addition, each year we bring patterns and supplies that we no longer need and share with the rest of our Bittersweet Stitching Sisters. This year we agreed to share some with you. So we're including two Blackbird Design charts for the November and December stockings.
Simply leave a comment on this post and tell me: do you decorate for Thanksgiving?
You can also email me at pgagliardi9@hotmail.com with "Thankful" in the subject line.
I'll pick a winner using random.org on Monday, November 19.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
~Psalm 100:4
Blessings, Patti

You are so blessed to be part of a wonderful stitching group and I'm so glad you share your special get togethers with us. I love my stitching friends who are more like family....they are the BEST and we all care about each other. I do decorate for Halloween and Thanksgiving with handmade pieces (mine or others creative pieces) and leave them all out until I remove to change out for Christmas decorations. Have a great holiday.
I decorate more for Thanksgiving than I do for Halloween. I enjoy the colors of the leaves, gourds and bountiful cornucopias....and don't forget that big ol' turkey with his beautiful display of feathers!!! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday (giving thanks and enjoying LOTS of food)....with Easter coming in a close second (giving thanks again and enjoying LOTS of chocolate)!!! lol! Have a blessed week!
Yes I decorate for Thanksgiving. I enjoy all the pumpkins and turkeys. Thanks for the giveaway. Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Yes I decorate! It is sort of a continuation of my October fall theme with turkeys thrown in amongst the gourds and pumpkins. Love your posts about your trip each year. Sounds so fun! Thank you for the opportunity to enter your giveaway! Kay S.
I decorate a bit for Thanksgiving, I have a stuffed pumpkin a friend made me and a few pieces of pottery. Thanks for the chance, Happy Thanksgiving!
I love Thanksgiving but don’t have many harvest themed decorations, so I tend to go from Fall to Christmas. I do have one stitched turkey however.... Thanks for the great gift offer.
Patti,
Your time was well spent at the retreat...what a joy to spend time with "like-minded" gals!
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday to decorate for... I love, love turkeys...can't explain why but I'm drawn...I have a collection of vintage turkey tin lithographed toys, which I cherish...they adorn the mantle. Then there are the vintage turkey candy containers, handstitched samplers and pinkeeps, tiny turkey print blocks,... I guess you could say I'm obsessed!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours...
Fall Blessings,
Patricia

yes I decorate for Thanksgiving love all the holidays. Then it's time to do Christmas.
What a beautiful giveaway! Yes, I decorate for Thanksgiving! My favorite Thanksgiving specific decoration are the vintage turkey platters I put out in place of the usual vintage plates on a plate rack in my dining room; with the bittersweet twining around them, they are so beautiful. In the living room I have some fall lit ceramic houses on a shelf that are just the perfect height for my little grandchildren to gaze inside and play with the little figures of scarecrows, pumpkins and baskets of apples out front. There are fall penny rugs, quilted table toppers and punchneedle pillows around the house. It was always my favorite holiday when I was a child - such a beautiful and grateful time of year. Thank you for such a very nice give away. Yes , I do decorate for Thanksgiving. I have collected lots of dry gourds over the years and I use them as my base for decorating. I never start Christmas decorating until after Thanksgiving. I believe it should not be an over-looked holiday.
Beautiful wool, and a great giveaway! I don't do any decorating for Thanksgiving anymore. None of our family is nearby and usually just two to us on Thanksgiving. Really miss not being with family.
I still decorate for Thanksgiving. I don’t decorate like I used to but I still enjoy decorating for the season. I have a darling wood turkey, some pilgrims, and a tray with a few smalls and pumpkins. Looks like you had a fun trip and you brought home some nice stash.
I do decorate for thanksgiving. Some of it are things my kids made for me when they were little. I have enjoyed your retreat posts and what a thoughtful gift of handmade lace.
No decorations for Thanksgiving. I usually move from my Fall decorating right to Christmas.
Thanks for sharing your fun week!
I have some cross-stitch Thanksgiving pieces that I display this time of year. What a fun trip! What a fun giveaway! Thanks!
How wonderful to share the sisters trip with you. I do decorate for Thanksgiving. There's a big pillow with Give Thanks, a tiny pillow with a turkey and the words gobble, gobble both stitched by me. And a wooden turkey and a plush turkey. Just enough to bridge Halloween with Christmas. Love the Hands on Designs patterns you picked up. Linda
I do love Thanksgiving and feel that it is pushed by the wayside! So.....I decorate our home to remind our Grandchildren how blessed and fortunate we are to live in this free country. I enjoy scattering a few small quilts and cross stitched pieces around our home with our sign "We are Blessed". Love your blog and enjoy sharing your adventures! Thank you!
I keep out the leaves and faux pumpkins till Thanksgiving. Your retreat photos look like a great time was had by all. Thank you for sharing . Nice Stash too.
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving

This is the first year I've decorated for Thanksgiving with white pumpkins, candles, preserved leaves, and several cross-stitched squirrel pincushions. It all looks so lovely! I have the Christmas stocking patterns, but would love to stitch the Thanksgiving ones. Thanks for your generosity!
HI Patti
I do decorate for Thanksgiving. I leave out the faux bittersweet and add some lovely velvet pumpkins. This year I finally stitched some smalls for Thanksgiving that I hope to get fully finished before the big day.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Every Thanksgiving I decorate with my collection of vintage turkey salt and pepper shakers. I have 20 to 30 sets and am always searching for more. Thank you for the giveaway. Happy Thanksgiving!
Your getways look so fun and you always visit such lovely places and shops thanks for sharing your trips with the rest of us.
I tend to decorate more for Christmas then Thanksgiving but I just love this time of year.
Yes I decorate for Thanksgiving starting in late October, I don't decorate for Halloween it's all about fall and harvest. I live in the Phoenix, AZ area and we don't have much "fall" so I create me own!
I have a few decorations for Thanksgiving and put them out along with some fall stuff I leave out after Halloween. You have a great group of friends, looks like you have so much fun!
I have a few fall decorations. One very special one is a small floral arrangement that my dear friend made for me. Happy Thanksgiving. This time of year I like to reflect on those that I am grateful. Thank you Patti for your lovely posts and inspiring bible verses. I just love following your blog.
I have a few touches of decorations around the home but don't decorate heavily like i do for Christmas. Thanksgiving dinner with family is always a blessing. I just finished a design by Heart in Hand that i will give to my neice as she is hosting dinner this year.
