~*July Offerings*~

The heart of summer is almost here ~ the 4th of July is just days away! Parades, Picnics and Fireworks – so all-American! Patriotic red, white and blue have inspired this month’s offerings…

Recently I acquired a wonderful red and blue cross stitched antique table cloth. I love the peacocks, flowers and other motifs cross stitched upon it. My first offering is “Patriotic Peacock” Thread Board. This piece is both lovely to display and useful. I added mother of pearl rings for holding threads on one side.

On the back I included a red, cream and blue wool heart pocket for embroidery scissors (not included) and a patriotic ribbon tie to keep them safe and secure. There is also a needle and pin keep of the same patriotic wool. It has a base of thin mat board, so that it is stiff and can be propped up on a shelf or table. It measures approximately 4 inches by 5 inches (not including the rings) and is completely handsewn.
“Patriotic Peacock” Thread Board is offered at $45.

I’ve made two pinch pockets from the same wonderful antique table cloth. One side has a peacock, one side has red and blue embroidery and one side has red flowers. These pinch pockets are perfect for a small spool of thread, a small pair of embroidery scissors, and even a few other notions. They each measure approximately 4 inches across and 3 inches tall.

Items are stored safely inside until you gently press the two corners together to open. The pinch pockets are lined with coordinating wool (the same as the backing of the thread board). As with all of my offerings, they are completely handsewn.
These Patriotic Peacock Pinch Pockets are offered at $25 each.

My final offering is a large strawberry pinkeep from a Kay Cloud pattern. It measures a big 5 by 7 inches not including the stem. The berry is made of a vintage rayon velvet  with an army blanket wool cap and stem. The seeds are black headed pins, so it is ready for use! It is stuffed with a combination of cotton and crushed walnut shells for a nice weight, but not too heavy. The big strawberry is completely handsewn.
“Big Berry” is offered at $40.
