A sign?

This week I started working on
Schoolgirl Sampler Spring Sewing Bag
design by Stacy Nash for the Country Sampler Girls Club

It's been more than 6 months now since we lost our beloved Orion.
(You can read more about Orion here and here.)
We've decided that we are ready to open our home and hearts to adopt another rescue.

We've been searching for a bit now trying to find the right fit for our family and lifestyle.

Today was the day!

Welcome Peanut and Leia!
A bonded pair - brother and sister.
We had no intention of adopting two, but how could you split this sweet pair?!

After a busy day of getting to know us, our home and the neighborhood.
they are worn out!
Good night Leia!

Good night Peanut!

Take a peek at my current project again...
Two dogs are charted on this piece, do you think it was a sign? :)

Make me a servant
Humble and meek
Lord let me lift up those who are weak
And may the prayers of my heart always be
Make me a servant
Make me a servant
Make me a servant today
~Kelly Willard

Blessings, Patti

Great pattern to commemorate your two new additions to the household! It is wonderful that you were able to open your home and heart to welcome these two sweethearts. I'm sure they will be forever grateful.

I'm so happy for you all and the two little sweeties. I am the proud momma to 4 doxie rescues and they are the light of my life. Enjoy your new family members! Hugs, ps. I love your cross stitch.

Congrats on Peanut and Leia! We adopted a pair of doxies when I was a kid and they were fabulous. Two dogs are perfect because they have each other when the humans are not around. Enjoy them!

They are so, so cute.
Thanks for rescuing them.
I bet they are bundles of energy. :)
Your SN piece is turning out pretty.

What a lucky little pair. I'm glad your family is full again.
A sign.....who knows, but I'd like to think so.

How sweet! These are two very lucky dogs to join your family and be loved by you. They are so cute and seem content already! Congrats on finding a match and yes, your sampler had a sign ....rescue two! See you soon, my friend!

I totally believe that's a sign. What a blessing for, those two special pups to be kept together and come to live with your family. They are adorable and how fun to have two. I know how much Orion was missed by all of you. Now it's double the fun.

Oh, yea!!!!!!!! [Insert happy dance!] Something similar happened to me when I went looking for my first rescue several years ago . . . came home with two, one lived 18 wonderful years, the other 11. We now only rescue seniors (because we are seniors!), and they are truly gifts. Your new pups couldn't have found a better forever home, and, of course, your current project was indeed a sign. Thanks so much for sharing, I always look forward to your blog entries.

God will smile on you for adopting those two precious furbabies. I am so happy for them and for you and your family. I know they will now live the life they deserve. I hope we hear and see lots about them often. Adoption is near and dear to my heart. THANK YOU!!!
I do believe the sampler was a sign.
