More fun in the sun

It was so nice to walk along the beach and put our feet in the cold surf.

We were lucky to get four tickets to Jimmy Kimmel Live one night.
Fun to see how things work behind the scenes.

We had to be Hollywood tourists and see Grauman's Chinese Theater.

And see the hand and footprints - old

and new.

We took a studio tour at Sony Pictures one morning.

I really enjoyed seeing the old "Seinfeld" set,

And even looking in his fridge - it was empty.

The best part of the tour was going to the set of "The Goldbergs"
as the tour guide was explaining what we would see inside, the star of the show came out the door.
He smiled at the group, recognized our youngest son and came over to give him a hug.
They grew up together in our neighborhood. :) A great kid from such a kind family - so glad he is having success, but still grounded.

On the way back to Santa Monica, we stopped in a fish shack

for some super fresh fish

a fun atmosphere and a great view of the ocean.

That afternoon, I spent a bit of time relaxing by the pool and stitching while the guys biked down the beach.

It was fun to watch some skywriters at work, but I didn't get to see the full message.

We had a great time on our last might, but I'll post that next - then I'll return to stitching :)

Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
    I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

 When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.
~Isaiah 43:1-2

Looks like a wonderful trip Patti....Looking out at the dreary cold as the snow falls once again and dreaming of sunny California is about all I can do LOL. That is so awesome that your son’s friend happened by! Bet the rest of the tour group was duly impressed! Hope all has been well with you...it certainly looks like it has been! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

In your header picture, I like the blue and off-white fabric you used for the background of "Snow". It does have a wintery look.
