"Christmas Pears"
by Lola Designs 2
kitted by Pieceful Gathering Quilt Shop
More wonderful finishes by Mom!
I love the combination of colors on this one.
And, of course, Mom's stitches are perfect!
Such a timeless design.
"Snow Buddies"
design by Primitive Gatherings
Mom used her own wools and I love the ones that she chose.
I love all the details on this design.
"Plaid Tongue Rug"
design and kit by Cee Rafuse
Couldn't you just look at this rug all day?!
So many wonderful wool plaids!
Mom worked on blanket stitching the individual tongues a lot while she was undergoing treatment.
A piece that she could be productive on when she didn't have the stamina
to focus on something more involved.
A truly amazing piece!
Mom had one more finish that deserves a post all of its own ;)
Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep a clear head, and set your hope completely on the grace to be given you when Jesus, the Messiah, is revealed. As obedient children, do not be shaped by the desires that used to influence you when you were ignorant. Instead, be holy in every aspect of your life, just as the one who called you is holy. For it is written, “You must be holy, because I am holy.”

What amazing talent. I love the plaid one the best. One stitches are so perfect. Thanks for sharing with all of us.
Beautiful--I could look at these all day. Am. so glad your Mom had something to keep her mind and hands busy during her treatments.
I cannot pick a favorite. They are all so wonderful! Janice
The pears look sooo rich - stunning. Also, I once saw a larger very antique "tongue rug" that was a child's coffin cover and had initials or name and birth and death dates. (It's been a while so don't remember exactly.). I was mesmerized by that piece and can look at this as you say for so long. They are fascinating. I might have to have a go at one someday.
All of her pieces are just beautiful.
And yes, her stitches are perfect.
I love the Pear design, so pretty.
