Where has the time gone? Has another week really flown past? Oh well...
I tried to be good on our little day trip, but there were so many wonderful items to choose from at House of Stitches! I did limit myself to two new patterns.
Isn't this Plum Blossom linen so pretty and different?
I'm thinking it might be perfect for a spring pin keep.
And I needed to stock up on my all time favorite needle.
They are tiny and very short, so I have convinced myself that they help me stitch faster lol!
Love these new magnetic Stitch Dots and who can resist a Blackbird Design with a house and strawberries :)
Don't you love when you find a design and can go home with all the supplies to start it that very night? I do ;) So very satisfying to start right away even if it isn't finished yet.
At Cotton Cottage Quilts, I couldn't leave without a Lucy Boston kit - loved the patriotic colors in this one. And the fat quarters in the middle have already been put to work in my offerings for March.
And here is my little giveaway from my day. I loved the fat quarter with the "Blessed are..." and a package of my favorite needles along with a few free graphs.
Simply comment on this post or send an email to me at pgagliardi9@hotmail.com with "Giveaway" as the subject and tell me - What is your favorite needle for your favorite needlecraft?
I'll pick a winner on Monday, February 27th.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

I enjoy reading your blog and see the projects. Blackbird design is one of my favorites only and I love their quilt patterns too. Sally
My favorite needle has been the Bohin size 26 or 28, but I would love to try the John James. Love your posts and all your stitching projects!
My favorite needle is John James size 26. I also like John James size 11 for hand quilting.
Thanks for the tip about needles. The needles at the local chain sewing store just aren't what I think I should be using.
My favorite needle is John James 22 for cross stitch. Thank you so much for this giveaway. :) Cathryn (blueladie at hotmail dot com)
I have been using DMC #28. My next purchase I am going to try John James. Thank you for the chance to win such a generous giveaway.
My favorite "needle" is a Hartman hook...lol!
I haven't cross stitched much in years but really want to get back to it.
You always find the best stuff on your travels.
Hugs :)

Gosh I use embroidery needles, knitting needles and crochet hooks...not a needle, but in my arsenal. I love Blackbird, Kathy Barrick and Notforgotten Farm. Great giveaway! Janice
Nothing size 24 or26
Hmmmmm...I have puzzled several times over needles...I usually just grab what is sticking in my pin cushion...which, unfortunately, is just a general all-purpose sewing needle from a muli-pack that I use for sewing on buttons, stitching up the dog toys and what not. Really? An embroidery needle JUST for cross stitch?? And a "special" one at that?? I need to get outta Nod more often....(but not to Walmart mind you...lol). Sweet giveaway...and love the treasures that found their way home with you. Smiles & Thursday Hugs ~ Robin
PS...I really love your header photo!!!
My favorite needle is the petite 28 also. Enjoy your blog and seeing all your purchases.
I'm not very good about needles and I'm sure if I paid attention I would find one I like more than others. I just use whatever is available. I usually buy good needles like John James, Primitive Gatherings, Hiroshima, etc. so they are all good to me!
John James are my favorite needles - I feel they make me cross stitch faster too!!! Hope I win. Love that fabric.
Always enjoy reading about your trips I'm new at primitive stitching and I love John James needles too But I can't go to fast or I'm tearing out Thanks for offering the giveaway

Size 28 for needlework, 26 petite for Maggie's wool applique projects and 24 chenille for wool applique with Valdani. Can never have enough, because you can never find one when you need it!
Great treasures on your trip. Really like the stitch dot. I also use JJ 28 petite. Nice give away. Thanks for the opportunity.

I love the same needles that you do. I love how small they are. Blackbird are one of my favorite designers. Thank you for the chance to win. Hugs,
Wow, as soon as I saw those needles I thought I need to get some....then that beautiful fabric popped out...wow, it's part of your giveaway! Hope I win!
For needle turn hand applique I use Clover Black Gold needles. Applique/sharps No.10. They are FABULOUS!!!
hmmm, I have never really thought about needles before, I'm bad! My favorite projects to stitch on are wool And you have reminded me that I do need to get myself some more needles for my sewing machine! Shopping trips are always fun & it looks like you found some goodies!!!
I use 26 petite for most of my wool appliqué. Would love to try the JJ for cross stitching! Thanks for the opportunity to win!
My current favorite needle for EPP is a #10 milliner by Bohin. But I love to hear what others use as needles since I am always open to trying someone else's which may work even better and make the craft that I love even more loved. Thank you for your bible quotes....sometimes it is just exactly what my heart needed to hear.
I mostly quilt but now and then I get a bit of cross stitching in. I wish I had more time for cross stitch - but retirement is only 3 short years away! I don't remember the last needle I used. I've used John James but I'm open to trying something new.
I usually use John James petites in either 24 or 26. Just seems to fit my fingers better and since they're blunt, I don't get poked to death! I love your blog and appreciate your zeal. And thanks for the fun giveaway!
Isn't it fun to go to an actual store instead of the Internet! The experience is not quite the same. My favorite needle is Bohn size 28 tapestry. I have seen people using John James so maybe I will try them. Happy stitching!
I am fairly new to cross stitch, I have been using Bohn 26...I would be interested in trying a shorter one, don't know if it would help me be quicker or not :)
I love everything you showed today. Love the Lucy Boston colors as well.

Oh my, the plum blossom linen is so pretty. Can't wait to see what you stitch on it. I have been wanting to try the petite needles....very interesting.
What a fun trip! I would love to travel with you! I also like the petite needles from Bohn. Don't think they help me stitch faster. (I am a slow stitcher) love your new start. Thank you for the giveaway chance.
I do quilting, needle punching, cross stitch and wool work. I have lots of different type needles but would not be able to tell you the numbers without going into my sewing room.
Always enjoy your trips and seeing the different shops and what you have purchased. Thanks for sharing.
