A finish and a winner

"Liberty Angel Sewing Book"
Little Stitches Handwork Club kit 2015
by Notforgotten Farm

I always like to work on something patriotic over the 4th of July.
I stitched this last summer, but never got around to putting it together.

I tend to get bored when filling in a large area of stitching, so I added a few Smyrna stitches in her dress to keep my interest ;)

I backed the sewing book with a bit of antique patriotic ticking.

Inside is a little antique ticking pocket, a wool star pinkeep and a bit of antique flag ribbon.

Over the weekend I spent a bit of time perusing my favorite patriotic art books.

So much inspiration!

Thank you to the 53 individuals that entered my latest giveaway!
It was so fun to read about your favorite things about June!

From vacations and end of the school year,
weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays
family time and father's day to flag day
early summer weather & swimming

gardening and strawberries

and raspberries too!
The longest day of the year & more time to stitch!!!
fireflies and baby birds

more gardening, early summer flowers and hydrangeas

June is a lovely month!
Although in some ways every month is a good month!

Using random.org, the winner selected was #23 - Kathleen Hepner!

“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
    make known among the nations what he has done,
    and proclaim that his name is exalted.
Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things;
    let this be known to all the world."
~Isaiah 12:4-5
