October Offerings

It’s arrived! Autumn is here! And with it came the gorgeous full lunar eclipse of the Harvest Super Moon. Our family (including the pups) greeted it with dessert in the backyard as we watched the metamorphosis. A final warm evening before the cooler air arrived. That beautiful moon along with a gorgeous hand-dyed tangerine wool by Ewe and Eye inspired this month’s offerings – “Witch’s Flight”.

My first offering is a Winding Vine Designs original one of a kind. Witch’s Flight Windowsill Runner is made with that wonderful tangerine wool and black scherenschnitte style wool cuttings. It measures approximately 6 by 16 inches and would look great on a windowsill, bookcase or just about anywhere – even on the back of a commode.

It is completely handsewn and is backed with a black and orange print featured in my other offerings. The edges are finished with a blanket stitch of perle cotton.
Witch’s Flight Windowsill Runner is offered at $40.

My next offering this month is Witch’s Flight Thread board. A design by The Prairie Schooler, this piece is fun for Halloween and useful. I added onyx mother of pearl rings for holding threads on one side.

On the back I included a Halloween inspired pocket for embroidery scissors (not included) and a black ribbon tie to keep them safe and secure. It has a base of thin mat board, so that it is stiff and can be propped up on a shelf or table. It measures approximately 5 inches by 7 inches (not including the rings) and is completely handsewn.
~*Sold. Thank you ever so much!*~

My final offering this month is a pinch pocket – I just can’t stop making these J. This pinch pocket is perfect for a small spool of thread, a small pair of embroidery scissors, and even a few other notions. Witch’s Flight Pinch Pocket is based on another Prairie Schooler design and measures approximately 4 inches across and 3 inches tall. Items are stored safely inside until you gently press the two corners together to open. I used the same hand-dyed orange linen and floss as the thread board. The pinch pocket is backed with the same cotton print as is featured on the other offerings and is lined with the same hand-dyed tangerine wool. As with all of my offerings, it is completely handsewn.
~*Witch’s Flight Pinch Pocket is sold. Thank you ever so much!*~

Great projects, Patti.
May I ask where you buy your mother of pearl rings? I have tried doing searches, but I am obviously not searching the correct words so I'm getting nowhere.
Thank you!
Happy October 1. So hard to believe.
Hugs :)
