I can't believe that it has been 3 weeks since I posted!Where has the time gone...
We made our annual trek to the northwoods - near Hayward, Wisconsin.
This is the trip that really recharges my batteries.
Quality family time spent in the great outdoors...
Then the day after we came home (the day I meant to spend doing laundry and grocery shopping) another big storm came through Chicago and did this:
Over 800,000 buildings were without power including us. Luckily crews came in from all over the country. A wonderful crew from Kansas and Missouri restored our power after 4 full days without power.
Luckily power was restored just in time for this heatwave!

sorry to hear of your power outage, but glad no one was hurt at your place.
Your pics are beautiful. Looks like it was a wonderful, peaceful trip.
Power is such a wonderful thing we tend to forget about and take for granted, but when we don't have it we sure can have a renewed sense when it is turned back on to our homes. Sometimes I wonder what it would have really been like to live your entire life not knowing the modern conviences that we take for granted in our life time.
Glad all is well after the storm... but more glad to hear you had a wonderful vacation :)

Isn't it amazing how fast the summer goes by? Three weeks have flown by and only one week of July remains!! Why is winter so slow and summer so fast?
