"In Full Bloom"
Sewing Pocket and Pinkeep
for Dyeing to Stitch Quaint Country Ladies Club
Is anyone still there to read this?
Gosh it has been a month since I posted!
I have been doing a lot of traveling this summer and now am in catch up mode both at work and at home. I have been posting on Instagram almost daily. Do people still read and follow blogs? I miss my blog, but Instagram is quick and easy. I have also been having troubles getting photos from my phone to my blog. I'm debating what to do...
I had a finish on Labor Day!
As you can see, I stitched this in 2018 - as soon as the kit arrived, but I did not fully finish.
I guess that I can count this as a Stitch From My Stash completion!
I love the lining fabric on the sewing pocket!
And on the back of the pinkeep as well!
I do have a few things that I simply must share before I decide whether to continue my blog or not.
So if you are still out there, please stay tuned!!! I will be back soon!
This is what the Lord says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.

I enjoy reading your blog but I am not a frequent commenter.
ReplyDeleteLove reading you! Ditto to above- I don’t comment often but count me as your reader♥️
ReplyDeleteSheepunderfeet
I don't comment much on blogs, but I do enjoy reading yours!
ReplyDeleteI don't comment much but I read everyday.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, hope you continue to post.
ReplyDeleteI miss blogging and the lovely stories people would tell. I guess we are all just too busy anymore to bother. I think about going back to it occasionally. It was quite cathartic.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your finish. It’s pretty and perfect in every way!
I enjoy reading your blog as well but I also do Facebook and Instagram
ReplyDeleteUnderstand your dilemma but I love your blog! Also love your recent finish, lovely as always.
ReplyDeleteI barely know what Instagram is so do hope you continue to blog. I think blogging is dying a slow death, but it it still right for me.
ReplyDeleteSweet finish.
Oh Patti,
ReplyDeletePlease don't leave us on your Blog. Don't do Facebook or Instagram. Sure would miss you and the pups.
Darling project. It’s hard to keep up with social media and blogging. Personally think the details in a blog post are more enjoyable!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful piece I hate to see the blogs go away I enjoy them so much.
ReplyDeleteCathy
I miss everyone who got too busy to blog. It’s more personal I still keep those in hopes they will return someday. I love hearing about your trips. And Christmas! We can’t be without all those posts. Please give it some serious thought.
ReplyDeleteYes, we do. Please continue to blog. Not all of us are on instagram. Blogging is about telling your story. That's what connects people to you. We love to hear other people's stores.
ReplyDeleteOh, please continue to blog! I have traveled to so many fun and interesting places vicariously with you!
ReplyDeleteHello I’m here I don’t comment and need to, which I will from now on 😀 how can you keep going if you don’t know if anyone is interested, right? I love your blog and all your creations, what a fun summer you’ve had......keep the goodies coming love seeing them all....I hope you keeping sharing as well on you blog ❤️
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog and since I don't instagram this is the only place I get inspiration from you! But we know you are busy, but we do like to see what you are up to!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute finish.
ReplyDeleteI hope you continue to blog, I love reading blogs, not fond of Instagram.
Marilyn
I faithfully check your blog almost daily. I enjoy your work, your mom's work, and the Scripture at the end of your post. I also follow you on Instagram (am I a stalker?!). And I will always appreciate a blog WITH NO ADS. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeletePLEASE keep your blog. I don't do instagram and I love to see your work. Terry S
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope you continue blogging. I'm not on Instagram or FB. So many good blogs have called it quits in the past couple years. It's like loosing a friend. There is a comfort in sitting and reading a post much like letters were once read.
ReplyDeleteI love you needle book and pin keep. What a perfect combination of fabric and stitchery.
I love blogs, pictures with comments and stories. I find IG just pictures and few words not as satisfying. I miss all the wonderful blogs I used to read. I hope you keep yours going.

I'm still here! Your sewing set is simply beautiful. Well done on its completion!
ReplyDeleteI still read your blog and very much enjoy it. I also follow you on Instagram but with their wacky algorithms your post do not always pop up in my feed. I love, love your sewing pocket as well as everything you post. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet finishes! I always read your blog, although I am not the greatest at commenting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Pam

ReplyDeleteI too never comment, but always love reading your blog! Please try and keep it going, as your time allows. Hope the pups are well too!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, I think it is more personal then instagram
ReplyDeleteI do read your blog and check daily for any new postings. I don't do Instagram... You are incredibly talented, I love seeing all of yours and your mother's handmade stitchings. Please keep up the good work and your blog posting!
ReplyDeleteColleen
o agree with every thing anonymous said.in fact she took the words right out of my mouth. again please continue blogging.i enjoy so much and did miss you this last month....nancy
ReplyDeleteI like viewing photos on Instagram, but reading the limited post is not the same as enjoying a blog post with more photos and conversation. Sort of like getting a blank note card that is signed, compared to getting a Hallmark card with a lovely sentiment.
ReplyDeleteI still read blogs....though I have been lagging with updating my own...what makes blogging fun is interacting with those that leave comments...and a lot of times folks don't leave comments...maybe it's because they can't decide what to say? I know sometimes the only comment I ever leave is "Beautiful quilt (stitches, rug, etc)"! lol! I thought about joining instagram...but, I don't really enjoy "speaking emoji" either... ?
ReplyDeleteYour personal touch would be so missed if you quit.
ReplyDeletehi patti, if ya count me, i'm here too. i so adore these accoutrement finishes, yours is beautiful. yes, instagram seems to be kickin' heinie, so many stellar finishes from the around the world. thx for posting here, i still enjoy my blog feed.
ReplyDeleteHello Patti, Please don't give up on your blog, not all of us follow instagram. I love seeing your stitching and getting inspiration. It helps me continue with my projects too. Regards Mandy xx
ReplyDeleteI dislike social media sites and love to read blogs. I don't think people are busier now than five-ten years ago but I do think they make themselves believe they are. Mostly the social media sites give people the instant reward or ego stroke with very little real actual interaction in my opinion. Its all very superficial. I have enjoyed reading your blog for years but it is understandable if it is no longer your desire to continue blogging.
