Pennies from Heaven is back!

For the past few years, Mom and I have spent a day over Memorial Day weekend making pincushions together. This year we made tomatoes designed by Maggie Bonanomi.
Originally from the 2016 Maggie Girls' Club at Country Sampler in Spring Green, Wisconsin
and now in her book "Pure & Simple".

The tomatoes pictured above are Mom's.

And here are mine.

It was a delightful way to spend the day together!

Mother-daughter bonding - doing what we love :)

It's hard to believe that Mom has been in her new home a year.
And during that year I haven't posted any "Pennies from Heaven" creations by Mom!

So, while Mom was sewing buttons on tomatoes, I took pictures of some of her many finishes.

This was Mom's first finish in her new home.
How appropriate! And she has a tag sewn on the back commemorating the occasion.
Aren't her stitches amazing?!

And here is a close up of the center.
I believe that "Home" is a Buttermilk Basin pattern and I think that her "O" is an original.

Isn't this a lovely holiday finish?

I love how Mom added beads to the oranges and the wreath.

And finally:

I have so many more finishes of Mom's to share, but I will save some for another day...

The heavens declare the glory of God;
    the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Day after day they pour forth speech;

    night after night they reveal knowledge.
