Little Lambs Eat Ivy

Last year at From Our Hands, Mom and I took the Lamb on the Hill Sewing Box class

We made our sheep and most of the box in class, and then somehow I let it sit for almost a year.

This is Lori's sweet model for the class and what we aspired to create.

Are you ready to see my finish?

Here it is!
I decided to place my lamb on a hilltop meadow of flowers.

I am so thrilled with how it turned out!
Mom and I were apprehensive, but Lori walked us through each and every step.

I was excited when I realized that I have a Lehay's shaker carrier in the same color to match my sewing box!

Another Stitch from My Stash Finish!

Can you tell that I am smitten with this little fellow?

I may have added too many flowers, I haven't quite decided yet.

This is something that I never would have attempted on my own.
Who knew that I could do it?!

Registration is open now for this year's From Our Hands ~ Creative retreat next month.

Thank you so much Rebekah and Lori Ann for expanding my creative horizons and bringing me out of my comfort zone!

“Do not be afraid, because I’ve redeemed you.
    I’ve called you by name;
        you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I’ll be with you;
    and through the rivers, they won’t sweep over you.
when you walk through fire you won’t be scorched,
    and the flame won’t set you ablaze.
~Isaiah 43:1-2

Blessings, Patti

  1. Oh be still my heart. Love, love your sewing box. Is that a real Shaker box? It reminds me of one. The whole piece is sweet as can be.

  3. Wow...WOw...and more WOW! I am completely smitten. I am enamored by anything made by Lori Ann’s hands, and you have mastered her handiwork so aptly. How I wish I could attend a class like that.... (then again, I probably would chicken out...I know how difficult those small works of art are...I have made a few (VERY) few mohair little bears...and how they challenged me!!! Beautiful finish Patti!!! ~Robin~

  7. Oh Patti . . . . the flowers are perfect in the meadow! Maybe that's the reason it had to sit a year - for that idea to "stew" !
    Awesome job! We'll miss you and your mom this year. Take care and be healthy! Hugs, L
