Bittersweet Sisters 2018 Trip ~ Part 6

The final part of the Bittersweet Stitching Sisters annual trip!
Be sure to read through to the end, it will be worth it ;)

I bought several kits at Country Sampler - two cross stitch and the fabric kit for the star that I shared on an earlier post.

At JJ Stitches, I bought these two patterns along with the kit for "So Beholden".
I'm thinking of doing a mash-up of both patterns...

At JJ Stitches, I also bought these three wools - thought they would make great evergreen trees
and this pattern that I haven't seen before.

At Lynn's, I increased my Hands On Design stash with a few patterns.

And a sweet kit (Autumn Skies) that is currently exclusive to Lynn's of Madison.
And Plum Street Samplers' "Scary Two" is all  kitted and ready to go!

I forgot to share this sweet gift from Carla!
She is a lace maker and actually made lace for each of us!
Isn't the entire display lovely with the antique buttons and bobbins?!
She also created some wonderful daily kits for us!
I'll share once I make some progress on them!

Finally what you have been waiting for:

A little giveaway!
I'm sharing some of the wool that I purchased.
In addition, each year we bring patterns and supplies that we no longer need and share with the rest of our Bittersweet Stitching Sisters. This year we agreed to share some with you. So we're including two Blackbird Design charts for the November and December stockings.

Simply leave a comment on this post and tell me: do you decorate for Thanksgiving?
You can also email me at pgagliardi9@hotmail.com with "Thankful" in the subject line.
I'll pick a winner using random.org on Monday, November 19.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
~Psalm 100:4

Blessings, Patti

  12. You are so blessed to be part of a wonderful stitching group and I'm so glad you share your special get togethers with us. I love my stitching friends who are more like family....they are the BEST and we all care about each other. I do decorate for Halloween and Thanksgiving with handmade pieces (mine or others creative pieces) and leave them all out until I remove to change out for Christmas decorations. Have a great holiday.

  18. Patti,
Your time was well spent at the retreat...what a joy to spend time with "like-minded" gals!
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday to decorate for... I love, love turkeys...can't explain why but I'm drawn...I have a collection of vintage turkey tin lithographed toys, which I cherish...they adorn the mantle. Then there are the vintage turkey candy containers, handstitched samplers and pinkeeps, tiny turkey print blocks,... I guess you could say I'm obsessed!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours...
    Fall Blessings,
    Patricia

  23. What a beautiful giveaway! Yes, I decorate for Thanksgiving! My favorite Thanksgiving specific decoration are the vintage turkey platters I put out in place of the usual vintage plates on a plate rack in my dining room; with the bittersweet twining around them, they are so beautiful. In the living room I have some fall lit ceramic houses on a shelf that are just the perfect height for my little grandchildren to gaze inside and play with the little figures of scarecrows, pumpkins and baskets of apples out front. There are fall penny rugs, quilted table toppers and punchneedle pillows around the house. It was always my favorite holiday when I was a child - such a beautiful and grateful time of year. 30. How wonderful to share the sisters trip with you. I do decorate for Thanksgiving. There's a big pillow with Give Thanks, a tiny pillow with a turkey and the words gobble, gobble both stitched by me. And a wooden turkey and a plush turkey. Just enough to bridge Halloween with Christmas. Love the Hands on Designs patterns you picked up. Linda
