Can I just tell you that it is so hard to make any decisions when surrounded by so much loveliness!
I would have loved to have spent the day there leisurely perusing, but I knew that my family was waiting for me for a late lunch...
These Attic bags were the first thing to jump in my hand. I used the larger bag this weekend for a road trip and it was just perfect for stitching in the car. The lid lifts up and everything is still safely contained in case of a sharp turn or quick stop.
The Attic has many local designers and so of course a design or two from them was a perfect souvenir! I so love bleeding hearts and redware! Perfect!
A few other patterns that I fell in love with. The Autumn Acorn pattern came with the wooden acorn.
These notecards are of gorgeous antique samplers with patterns on the back! LOVE!
One of Blackbird Designs newest patterns. I love the cover design, but it was the bonus pattern that took my breath away:
Sweetheart Pincushion! The darker red fabric was not the color called for in the pattern. Instead I chose Weeks Aztec Red Gingham - the gingham is very faint, but added an additional dimension. The mauve fabric is so unique I had to purchase it. I'll find something to stitch on it I'm sure. It is Dames of the Needle's "Cherry Pit Brown".
And a few miscellaneous notions:
The wooden Bee Skep needlebook kit is by Fern Ridge Collections,
Needlework Press glass cleaning cloth
Beautiful bone rings from Italy
and handy little wooden ruler embossed with The Attic.
Thanks so much for joining me on my trip and letting me share.
I'd like to give someone the chance to share in my blessings, so here's a little giveaway:
This giveaway is for a little wool pack from the Olde World Quilt Shoppe,
a little tin needle box from The Attic and a small project bag from The Attic.
This giveaway is open to all.
Simply leave a comment on this post, or if you are not on blogger, send an email to me at pgagliardi9@hotmail.com with "Arizona Giveaway" in the subject line.
And tell me, what shop is on your bucket list?
I will use random.org on Monday, April 10th to select a winner. If you are a no reply blogger, please be sure to post your email address so that I can contact you :)
Good luck!
My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.
~Psalm 62:7-8
Blessings, Patti

ReplyDeleteI would love to visit The Attic. We don't have any cross stitch shops in our area. I have to do all my shopping online. It looks like you had fun. Hugs, szil949@yahoo.com. I don't know if I am a no reply or not.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting your wonderful visit. Its nice to see what are shop carry.
ReplyDeleteYou go to some of the best places and it's so wonderful that you share them with us and take photos so we can go there with you. I spent 4 hours in Country Sampler/Spring Green and I don't quilt. I'd need that much time at this shop too. How fun for you. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAs I live a little over an hour and a half from the Attic and make it there for Market days, I would love to go to Shepherds Bush! That would be an all day trip, straight up into Utah. I don't comment much but your blog is a "must read" for me. We have the same taste in designs and I love to see what you are working on. Thanks for the give-away.

ReplyDeleteJudy Heartland stitcher
I would love to go to primitive Gatherings shop & Country Sampler in Wisconsin!!
ReplyDeleteI can tell that you had a great time at the Attic. I was able to visit the Attic in November 2016 as it was my top item on the bucket list. We were there for several days and I attended a class sponsored by them as well. Everyone is so nice and it is an absolute must for any stitcher who has not been there yet. It would also be fun to visit Shephard's Bush some day. As always, I love seeing what you are stitching and also what your mom is working on; she is such a beautiful stitcher of her wool projects - it must be fun for you and your sis to visit her and get out your needles. Enjoy........................
ReplyDeleteCountry Sampler in WI!

The Attic is definitely on my bucket list and so is Shepherd's Bush which might not sound too impossible except for the fact that I live in Ireland, so it's an awful long way to go, but one of these days, I hope to achieve my dream.
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous giveaway! thank you. I would love to visit Country Sampler. It's on my bucket list.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful decisions! My current basket is a hanging organizer bag for my sewing room. I am using Jo Morton's Gratitude fabric in red, brown and tan. It is a lot of work to do the pockets but when your sewing "room" is a 40" by 40" closet you have to find ways to innovate for storage!
ReplyDeleteI just moved to a new area so my bucket list involves learning my way around and discovering some local shop(s!) Thanks for keeping us inspired.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many shops I would love to visit, The Country Sampler, Notforgotten Farm, The Attic, The Olde World Quilt Shoppe, Primitive Gatherings. I'm especially fond of wool applique and wool on cotton. Your Arizona Giveaway is sweet! Thank you for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely shop and a great give-away! Hope i will win!
