Bucket List Stop #1~The Olde World Quilt Shoppe

My first bucket list stop was The Olde World Quilt Shoppe in Cave Creek, Arizona.
I guess I was a little antsy to get there as I arrived 45 minutes before they opened :)
I didn't mind reveling in the anticipation. Especially when this was the view from my parking spot:

So pretty! I enjoyed the view, the sounds of the birds and a bit of stitching.
Before you knew it the doors were opened - right on time!

The moment I walked in the door, I knew that I would never want to leave!
The fixtures, the fabric, the wool, the patterns, the models!
Oh be still my pounding heart! I felt like I would hyperventilate!
The shop ladies were so kind and welcoming, they told me to take my time and enjoy...

So many cozy corners to just stand and try to take everything in...

A comfy couch for perusing your purchases.
(Or for your husband to sit and relax while you shop lol!)

Wool and more beautiful wool!

So many sweet vignettes!

So many of my favorite designers - Buttermilk Basin, 1894 Cottonwood House, Cottage at Cardiff Farms, just to name a few.
Then there were new discoveries - My Red Door Designs and Red Button Quilt Company.

Sometimes it was hard to focus, the beauty inside or

The beauty outside.

I don't know how many times I walked around the store, just trying to take it all in.
I know that I couldn't see it all even if I stayed the entire day.

So many fun and unique finishes.

They even have a class room. I would have loved to have stayed to stitch and shop all day long,
but it was a family vacation and my allotted hour was up before I knew it.
Hey Bittersweet Stitching Sisters, I think we need to plan a road trip ;)
The Olde World Quilt Shoppe has a website here, and a Facebook page here.
They even have a closed Facebook group called The Olde World Woolies that you can ask to join.

I'll be back soon with my purchases.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel
~Ephesians 6:18-19

Blessings, Patti
