~*December Offerings*~

After a break of a few months, I was pleased to create a few offerings for this month.

I was inspired by visions of Santa Claus and new fabric purchased on a road trip.

My first offering is “Christmas Journey” Thread Board. Based on a design by Joyce Reed Folk Art, it is accentuated with a lovely reproduction cotton print and a vintage rickrack trim. This piece is both lovely to display and useful. I added mother of pearl rings for holding threads on one side.

On the back, I included a hand-dyed wool heart pocket for embroidery scissors (not included) that can be secured with a ribbon and also features a few festive jingle bells. There is also a wool deer needle and pin keep. It has a base of mat board, so that it is stiff and can be propped up on a shelf or table. It measures approximately 5 inches by 8 inches (not including the rings) and is completely handsewn.
“Christmas Journey” Thread Board is offered at $55 plus shipping.

My second offering is “Ho Ho Ho” Thread Board. Based on a design by Pineberry Lane, it is accentuated with a lovely reproduction cotton print and a vintage rickrack trim. This piece is both lovely to display and useful. I added mother of pearl rings for holding threads on one side.

On the back, I included a hand-dyed wool heart pocket for embroidery scissors (not included) that can be secured with a ribbon that also features a few festive jingle bells. There is also a wool Christmas tree needle and pin keep. It has a base of mat board, so that it is stiff and can be propped up on a shelf or table. It measures approximately 4.5 inches by 6 inches (not including the rings) and is completely handsewn.

I’ve also created “Christmas Joy” pinkeep pillow. This little pillow is based on a design by Pineberry Lane and is accentuated with the same lovely reproduction cotton print and vintage rickrack trim. It measures approximately 3.5 inches by 5.5 inches and is completely handsewn.

On the back I included a hand-dyed wool heart pocket for embroidery scissors (not included) that can be secured with a ribbon that also features a few festive jingle bells and a wool snowflake needle and pin keep.

  1. Love them all. I keep seeing so much cute cross stitch, and really would love to get back into it, but there are just not enough hours in the day!

  2. Very nicely done. Do you use foam core for the thread holders?
