Boxwood & Berries 2016 ~ Part 3 and a little giveaway...

I thought I would share my shopping...
At Country Sampler I found some great repro cottons, velvet, and trims.

And some wonderful hand dyed linen and patterns, too.

They had some great French General variety packs that I couldn't resist after all the French General inspiration ;) I was thinking this might be great for some EPP hexagons...

The Bittersweet Sisters took a little trip to JJ Stitches after I had to leave.
They were so sweet and generous
- they bought me the Bounty turkey kit!!! Love it! Thank you Sisters!!!

I did a little antiquing on my way up.

Love the hexagon shaped jar filled with vintage threads and two antique pin cushions - too sweet to pass up.

Thanks for joining me on my quick little trip. Here's a little giveaway that I picked up:

A fat quarter with matching chenille trim and a lace trim I bought at Country Sampler and two skeins of Japanese thread from French General.

To enter, simply leave a comment on this post or email me at pgagliardi9@hotmail.com with "B&B Giveaway" in the subject line. And tell me what do you like to look for in your travels?
I'll pick a winner on Saturday, November 26th.

The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders;    where morning dawns, where evening fades,
you call forth songs of joy
~Psalm 65:8

Blessings, Patti

  9. Country Sampler is on my bucket list! The owner recently announced that she's thinking of putting the business up for sale and retiring. I can only imagine the energy that's required to run a business like she does. Hopefully I may yet manage a visit but it's hard when you live in CA. But I love reading about Boxwood and Berries all the same.

  10. Love the antique pin cushions and the jar. I always look for them at shops but antique sewing is hard to find. You have such a good heart. You not only share your adventures, but the goodies you find too. I dream of going to Boxwood and Berries before I'm too old. Looks like such a fun time.

I also bought a copy of Raven Moon recently and would have picked up that glass jar of tread and the wooden tray. Thanks for a chance to win those goodies, lovely shades of sashiko threads.

  21. I look for quilt shops, sewing shops, and antique shops. All of my travel lately though is to work or to pick up my granddaughter to take her to school. Pretty one track and could almost drive it in my sleep. I need to get out! Since I don't have a local quilt shop that I like (it is about 2 hours away) I see a trip in my future! Happy Thanksgiving and God bless from North Carolina- The Home of No Snow :(

  26. I'm always on the look-out for vintage fabrics/trims similar to ones that my Mother used to make wonderful items for our home and family when I was growing up. They always remind me of wonderful memories of a Mother who took the time to make our home warm and wonderful.

  31. I always love to find a fun treasure too! When traveling, I like to scope out second-hand or consignment shops. It's not that I'm looking for a deal, but I like to find things that aren't currently in stores. Items that are unique and vintage are best!

  32. I love all the odd little goodies you bought. Such earthy colors. I recently moved back to MO and I love finding all kinds of smalls.......mostly little wood items and old glassware. Many a time I have bought textiles and then I could not bear to cut into them. I love to look and feel them. Some things are just difficult to cut up!
Have a great Thanksgiving and thanks for the cool giveaway.
