**Thank you ever so much for all your prayers and well wishes!
Unfortunately surgery has been postponed for 10 days.
We will try again. Thank you!**
Today I am heading back to my parents for a visit.
I know that Mom has a finish or two to share with me for another edition of "Pennies from Heaven" posts.
Unfortunately, this visit won't be for fun.
After six months of doctors visits, tests, and exploratory surgery,
Mom has been diagnosed with cancer.
The prognosis is hopeful, once she has surgery tomorrow.
We are focusing on the silver lining...
The past six months, the four of us (Me, Dad, Mom and my sister, Pam)
have been able to spend more time together than we have in years...
A Blessing for sure.
May I ask for a favor? Could you please say a prayer for Mom (Jill) this week?
Each and every prayer would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
"The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore."
~Psalm 121:7-8
Blessings, Patti

ReplyDeletePatti, I am so sorry to hear about your mother's diagnosis. I could not help wondering if something was wrong with one of your parents with all of your trips down to visit them. Continue to be there for them as much as possible - it means so much.
Speaking from experience - my husband was diagnosed with cancer almost 2 years ago and the support we received from family and friends was priceless. .
So glad your mother has her stitching (she does beautiful work). I mostly do quilting and some wool appliqué and I have found them to be a "life saver" during these past 2 years.
You always end your post with a Bible verse. I will include a quote that I looked at almost everyday during the chemo and radiation period that my husband went through. Here it is: Worrying about what comes next steals the pleasure of the now."
Not sure of the source.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers - hoping and praying for a positive outcome.
Be strong, Charlotte
