Last Saturday was Mom's birthday, so my husband and I decided to take an impromptu three hour drive down to deliver her presents in person. :)
It has only been a few weeks since my last visit, but Mom had another finish.
"Lakeside Cabin" from Crane Designs by Jan Mott
I love it!!!
So different! A perfect project for me to do,
when we spend our summer vacation in a cabin in the northwoods.
Thanks for the inspiration, Mom!
When I was down last time, Mom and I prepped our January Maggie Bonanomi Club Kits from Country Sampler.
Here they both are completed.
Mom's is on top and mine is on the bottom.
Mom added a piece of antique wool paisley and a bit of velvet.
I added an antique cotton print and a bit of velvet.
I had a few extra pennies cut, so I added them to the back.
My little penny rug reminds me of this gorgeous one - an original by Maggie Bonanomi that I just love :)
Me and my Mom
Happy Birthday Mom!
Are you curious what Mom's gifts were in the first picture?
On the top wrapped in an antique cotton print and vintage rick rack was a Maggie Bonanomi kit by Blackberry Primitives for Garden Table Top Basket.
(maybe she will have it done by my next visit lol!)
And in the tinfoil and antique ribbon is a Houska bread that I baked - a bread from the Czech Republic that we grew up eating.
There is still time to enter my little giveaway. I'll pull a name tonight before I go to bed.
You can find it here. I realized that I accidentally left out my email for the giveaway for those of you not on blogger! Sorry! You can also enter by emailing me at pgagliardi9@hotmail.com and putting Giveaway in the subject line.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
~Romans 8:31-32
