Inspired by the peaceful quiet of a winter snow, this mat
reminds me of the joy and wonder ~ beautiful and unique snowflakes gently
falling, crisp clean air, that lovely crunch of snow under your feet…
I was so thrilled to have my “Woodland Walk”
design published in the current issue of Primitive Quilts and Projects.
To
celebrate, I am having a giveaway of a wool kit using the same antique and
hand-dyed wools (along with the brushed cotton backing) that I used in my
original table mat. You will also receive a copy of Primitive Quilts and
Projects with my pattern along with many other lovely patterns.
This giveaway is open to everyone! To enter, simply leave a comment on this post or send me an email at pgagliardi9@hotmail.com with "Kit Giveaway" in the subject line (to help me find it!) and tell me... What is you favorite part of winter?
I will randomly select a winner on Sunday, January 24th.
Since
I had pulled out the twelve different wools included in this project, I also
created a few very limited kits for sale. These limited edition kits are available for $30 plus shipping.
If you need the magazine with your kit, I have copies available for $10.
To purchase the kit, just send me an email.
I can send a PayPal invoice or I
also accept checks and money orders.
~*Please note: Only one kit remains available.*~
Thanks for joining in the fun and Good Luck!

Your project is cute. Congratulations on being featured in the magazine. I love the moment when you walk outside at night and there is no breeze and there are big fluffy flakes of snow floating down. For me it is very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on having your sweet project featured in the magazine. Living on the West Coast winter is very different from what we experienced growing up on the Canadian Prairies and I truly love it here so much more, the climate is so much milder and I can go for my walks with a light coat and running shoes. It is truly my paradise.
ReplyDeletedkmackie@shaw.ca
Oh my goodness, you are selecting a winner on the 24th, my birthday!
ReplyDeleteI love winter for those lovely times when you can sit snugly in front of a roaring fie & just stitch away to your heart's content!
Congrats on your accomplishment for the magazine.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of Winter is snow.
Yesterday the flakes falling on my car looked like little pieces of lace, you could see the intricate patterns in them, so pretty.
Wish I could've saved some!
I love to go outside early morning when it snows and listen to the peacefulness.
Thanks for the chance for this cute kit.
Marilyn
Oh, gosh yes! This is ABSOLUTELY delightful and would be SO much fun to do during these cold months.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors! Love the smell of crisp cold air.
ReplyDeletePatti, congratulations! The best part of winter is when it ends. I moved to Florida to be warm not cold. U fortunately I moved more north and today it is 48 degrees. Sometimes we get as low as 32. Not Bueno for me, lol
ReplyDeleteI love Winter. I can stay indoors and sew. Thank you for the offer.
ReplyDeleteI love Winter. I can stay indoors and sew. Thank you for the offer.
ReplyDeleteVery cute design and colors!
ReplyDeleteWould love to win your kit. What I like about Winter is the peacefulness of snow falling, a fireplace going, and some good comfort food. I live in the Mountains and is beautiful when it snows. Still waiting for a good snow.

ReplyDeleteSo you want to know my favorite part of winter..... I think it is staying indoors and sewing a new project or trying to finish up some of the UFO's that seem to be calling my name. It would be wonderful to have a new wool winter kit to work on in the evening while warming my feet by the fireplace.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity,
Donna A.
Kit giveaway
ReplyDeleteThank you for a chance at your gorgeous wool project. I have the magazine, but welcome a chance at getting your kit.
The thing I enjoy most about winter here in Northern Ohio is the fact I am retired.
Such a lovely and generous giveaway....thank you Patti! Stitching away on a winter afternoon watching the snowflakes fall is the best! I love the peacefulness that a fresh blanket of snow brings.

ReplyDeleteCongrats again on your magazine status! We always thought you were famous! I don't like winter much but sitting down to stitch watching a beautiful snow fall or seeing the trees all frosted up on a cold morning is showing God's wonderful landscape in all its beauty! But, I look forward to spring and get antsy for warmer days! Today is a brisk one!
I am afraid that my favourite part of winter is when it is over and the sun shines!
ReplyDeleteThis winter has been a particularly grey and wet one in my part of the United Kingdom.
Congratulations on having your project as a feature in Primitive Quilts. I shall definitely look for a copy the next time that I am in the US.
Congrats on your project in Primitive Projects and quilts. Love to win and thanks for the giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of Winter is the anticipation of the cold and first snow flake. After the hot East Tennessee summer, both my husband and I are like little children, hope in our eyes as we eagerly wait that first flake that just MAY turn into enough to cover the ground and even make a snowball!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say that, living in Florida, my favorite part of winter is watching the snow up north on tv! I grew up in Michigan and know all about the pretty white stuff, but don't miss it at all. Well, maybe for 5 minutes during Christmas! Love your pattern! Love working in wool, and wish we had more shops here that carried supplies we love.....
ReplyDeletePatti, I absolutely love winter. We have a farm, and I love going out in the morns to do my chores.I love coming in to sit by the fire to do my woolies. Congrats on your published project. Love it and would love to own it. Thanks, Donna, The Primitive Quilter

ReplyDeleteI guess my favorite part of winter is planning garden and flowers for spring. Love the project and would love to win. Thank you for the chance.
ReplyDeleteLove the woo lie. My favorite part of winter is being outside at night and how the snow makes it so light. That and the quiet.
ReplyDeleteThis pattern and kit would be wonderful to win. Thank you...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on such an honor to be featured in a fantastic magazine. This winter has been fantastic for us in PA, warm temps and no snow. I guess if I have to choose something to like about a typical winter it would be the decor of snowmen, snowflakes. Also the beauty of fresh fallen snow on a non work day 😁
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your project. My favorite part of winter is "snowed in with electricity" - an unexpected snow day where I can put a pot of chili on the stove and stitch all day!
ReplyDeleteWinter is my,favorite time of year because it is peaceful, a time to regroup after the busy holiday season. Thank you for the giveaway I love this mat you have used as your header. Tdsvintagelife@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of winter is when it snows real deep and I have a great excuse for staying home in my jammies and stitching all day. :)

Congratulations on your published wool pattern in Primitive Quilts! It's darling!!! My favorite part of winter is the peace and tranquility that comes from watching gently falling snow and the fire place crackling with iridescent flames. A warm cup of coffee, chocolate or tea sitting beside me as I work on new wool projects is the perfect addition. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and thank you for the chance to win your Give away, it is adorable. My least favorite part of winter is the freezing temps, snow, and especially the ice....moderately cold and sunshine would be enough.....
ReplyDeleteCute project! Congratulations and thank you for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on having your creation in Primitive Quilts.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of winter is the beautiful blanket of snow!
ReplyDeleteOh this kit is so pretty! Thanks for the giveaway. What I love about Winter: Well here in Georgia we get very little snow but I enjoy a few days of snow . I love to use my wood stove and watch the roaring fire. I love to have a pot of soup on the stove and a pan of cornbread in the oven. I enjoy winter when I do not have to go out in the cold. My heart goes out to the people who work in the cold all day .
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful give away!! My favourite part of Winter is that I can quilt guilt free...like today! The rain is falling so I am heading into my sewing room to while away the day! LOVE IT!! Thanks for the chance!!

ReplyDeleteI love snow days, but don't get enough of them. Nothing like the sun shinning on snow, unlike the grey rain days we have lot of in the NW.
ReplyDeleteWe don't get much snow here in Eastern North Carolina ~ though it does get cold. So when it does snow, I like the stillness and quietness all around me. Everything looks so beautiful and peaceful.
ReplyDeleteFavorite part of winter is a cozy sweater. Don't like the snow/ice, but the coldness that brings out a comfy sweater is ok. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny... when I saw your post in the Wool and Cotton Applique group, I was smitten and thought I would have to buy this pattern because it's so me, winter being my favorite season after fall. What I love about winter is when the snow is fresh, it blankets my world in peace and quiet, and I love going out onto my enclosed, heated porch with windows completely around and drink coffee with my kitties while we all watch our backyard birds.
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations for having your design featured in the magazine. You well deserve it with its beauty!

My favorite part of winter is how clean everything looks when fresh snow falls. However, right now we are getting a good share of snow, so I'm thinking things looking clean enough out there!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of winter has to be the snow. We don't get much here in TN, so it is always thrilling to see any kind of flake no matter how tiny. I love the design and have been completely inspired to re-create it with my preschoolers in an upcoming Winter unit. I'll cut the pieces, and they'll attach the pieces with glue. I know they'll love this one. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the world.
ReplyDeleteI like winter storms which allow me to stay home and sew.
ReplyDeleteI like the excitement of a winter storm. The warnings about it coming, the hunkering down, and then getting cozy and letting it snow!
