"December 25th Pinkeep"
design by Stacy Nash
This was a last finish for 2015 as I put in the final cross stitches on New Years Eve.
I also counted it as a first finish for 2016 as I put the pinkeep together on New Years Day.
I used the same red rickrack finish as my other Stacy Club holiday finishes.
I thought it might look nice displayed with a bit of holly, but as I couldn't find any live holly this year, I had to make my own.
I thought it turned out rather sweet :)
I may need to make more next Christmas...
2015 was a milestone year for me and my family.
Our youngest son turned 18 and our oldest son turned 21.
My husband and I reached our 30th wedding anniversary
and I turned the big "five-oh".
I also celebrated 25 years working for the same company.
A year of blessings for sure!!!
Let's see what 2016 holds...
My husband and I started our year with breakfast at a local diner
and then took a three mile walk on the forest preserve trails.
The walk was a peaceful way to start the year.
Enjoying the quiet colors and stillness.
It was only 20 degrees out, but it gave me a chance to try out
the new winter coat that I received for Christmas. Guaranteed to -30, it sure kept me toasty!
Peanut has been enjoying the snow ~ digging, rolling and eating it whenever he gets the chance!
Leia, on the other hand, has decided that it is way too cold out.
She's enjoying her new winter coat and snood ~ even inside lol!
I was excited to find a coat that fits her so well.
Weiner Wraps Etsy Shop was a pleasure to shop with.
You can find the shop here.
I know that most people have already moved on to Valentine's Day...
I'm still enjoying my Christmas decorations, but hope to take them down this weekend.
I'll decorate for Winter for the rest of January before putting up my Valentine's.
*For those that have asked, the wool applique on the back of the loveseat is an old Maggie Bonanomi design. I believe it was from the first Country Sampler Boxwood & Berries event and to my knowledge has never been released...
And I have one more Christmas post to share...
A Stitch Club Christmas :)
So they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the child lying in the manger. When they saw this, they made known what had been told them about this child; and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured all these words and pondered them in her heart.
Luke 2:16-19

ReplyDeleteCan't go wrong with a Snowman! :)
Your holly turned out nice.
The puppies are too cute.

That is a beautiful piece, I always admire the cross stitch pieces that others do, I need to try some now that I have glasses.
ReplyDeleteLove that coat, so cute.
Debbie
Beautiful stitching piece by Stacy...I think I'm going to have to join her club...her pieces are amazing!! I love your holly...so unique and sweet! Turning the big 5-0....you're a baby!! Have a great year!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the snowman finish; I think the red rick rack makes it pop. Your holly looks pretty. Have a wonderful New Year!
ReplyDeletePatti, I love the wool applique' you have on the back of your couch! Can you please tell me the name of the pattern and if it is still available anywhere? It looks like it could be a Maggie piece, but I have all here books and don't recognize it. A club piece perhaps? Oh, and I also love the "Stacy" pinkeep! You always do such nice work!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Colleen
Hi Colleen, You are "No-reply" so I thought I would reply here :) The wool applique is an old Maggie Bonanomi design. I think it may have been from the original Boxwood & Berries event and I don't think that it has ever been released.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Patti
Dear Patti, Oh my goodness, Peanut and Leia look like such sweeties! Thank you for sharing the wonderful Christmas card...such a pleasant surprise! Blessings & Hugs, Tammy at Scattered Seed Samplers :)
ReplyDeleteLovely final finish! Such a sweet design. The holly sprig is fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Weiner wraps!! Wow!
What a great idea...making your own holly and it is just beautiful. Lucky you, snow
ReplyDeleteWe are finally getting a lot of rain but no snow. It is supposed to get down to 4000 feet...we are 3000...that's just NOT fair. I have no right to complain since we are having that severe drought. It is cold and has felt like the Christmases I grew up with so I better quit complaining.
Enjoy the day...
Peace and Bessings,
Barb
Happy belated birthday and anniversary. 50. You're just a baby...lol.
ReplyDeleteI love those holly leaves and what a fun snowman finish.
I'm happy to hear you have a coat to keep you so warm. I've bought coats that are supposed to keep you toasty but they never do. I guess I'm just a freeze baby.
Love those furbabies!!!
Hugs :)
Lauren
Love your snowman finish. Your little brown Dachsie looks like my Scnitzel! And I have a red long hair, Dobby. Thanks for the etsy link, appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteLovely pin keep.
ReplyDeleteYou sure did have a lot of great things going on in 2015!
Hope the New Year is even better!
Loved the doggy pics! How cute!
Bless you, i enjoyed your sharing!
Wonderful finish! Your doggies are so cute. My grandma had a pair of Dachshunds, one named Peanut and the other named Leapshun (I'm sure I misspelled the name, spelled it how it sounds!)
ReplyDeleteMy tree is up too and I justify it that Christmas isn't over until Epiphany, lol! It'll come down this weekend. May 2016 bring you many blessings!
ReplyDeleteWorking (very slowly) on taking Christmas down this weekend too...hmmm..so far, I have one Santa down LOL... guess I enjoy the warmth of a home dressed for Christmas too much. I adore your Stacy Snowman.... And your pups are so sweet....love the "wiener wrap".... I think I take after Leia more than Peanut. ;-) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
