March Offerings

 Greetings!

            March is almost here and I hope that means that Spring is soon to arrive! February has been a tough winter month – they say that here in Chicago it may be the coldest one on record! It was -10 last night – not even factoring in the windchills! 

My offerings this month reflect my love of my favorite indoor hobby ~ stitching!

My first offering is a pillow based on a sweet design by Lori Brechlin of Notforgotten Farm. “Bless My Scissors” features pretty linen ticking, a pocket for your sewing scissors (not included), a wool heart for your needles and a mother of pearl heart thread holder. I've stitched a herringbone stitch over the side seams and added a little wool heart on the back. As with all of my creations, it is completely hand stitched. This pillow measures approximately 6 by 10 inches.

My other offering is “Key to Stitching”.  This fob has a firm wooden base inside and is backed with wool. It is based on a Brenda Gervais design. It measures approximately 2 by 3.5 inches. The antique skeleton key can be removed if you prefer to attach it to your favorite sewing scissors. The key fob features a mother of pearl heart shaped thread holder. The fob looks so sweet with the key tucked in the heart shaped pocket of the pillow.
